Description
Khatai flowers are the main motif in Iranian carpet design since the Teymouri era (13th century). Khatai is like a string, it connects other motifs and creates unity on Persian rugs and carpets.
They represent mother nature, eternal paradise and dream garden. The concept of the Iranian garden is all based on a spiritual desire for peace, happiness and eternal life. Although Iran is located mostly in desert land they never gave up their dream of a garden.
